As the proud owner of Happy Trees, Alvin's journey into the world of arboriculture began long before he ever donned his trusty pruning shears. Picture a young Alvin, navigating horticulture classes in high school with fervor and grafting fruit trees like a botanical wizard. During his youth, you could often find him in his family's backyard, gently pruning peach trees with the precision of a surgeon. 

 

Summers saw Alvin knee-deep in landscape maintenance, honing his skills and nurturing his love for all things leafy. Even on lazy Sunday strolls, Alvin couldn't help but wax poetic about the majestic oaks and whimsical willows that lined the neighborhood streets.

 

And let's not forget how he sculpted the wild forest beyond his backyard, bravely battling spiny vines and dead wood like a true arboreal hero. Alvin transformed his surroundings into a sanctuary of greenery.

 

Armed with a Master's Degree in geology from BYU, Alvin initially joined the ranks of oil industry geologists. But his heart remained rooted in his love for trees and the outdoors. In 2021, amidst a world in flux and a sudden surplus of petroleum geologists, Alvin decided to forge his own path. He chose the embrace of the Wasatch Front's mountains and shaded canopies over the desolate landscapes of oil fields.

 

And thus, Happy Trees was born. With a team of skilled arborists by his side, Happy Trees became more than just a business—it became a testament to Alvin's unwavering dedication to preserving and nurturing the natural world.
