Trimming & Pruning

Investing in regular pruning not only prolongs the lifespan of trees but also enhances their beauty and productivity.  Correct tree pruning

  • allows maximum sunlight and oxygen penetration,

  • guides the shape of the tree,

  • improves fruit production, and

  • can prevent the development of costly problems in the future.

Improper pruning can actually weaken, damage, or even kill a tree. Topping trees is particularly harmful.

For general tree trimming, we focus on removing dead or diseased branches, shaping the tree for optimal growth and aesthetics, and ensuring proper clearance from structures and power lines. When it comes to fruit tree pruning, we pay special attention to promoting fruit quality and growth by thinning out excessive growth, improving sunlight penetration, and enhancing air circulation within the canopy.

Tree Removal

Sometimes trees become too large for their original space, or their growth can interfere with existing or planned structures.  When a tree becomes unwanted, we can safely remove it without damaging adjacent structures or landscaping.

We'll also grind the remaining stump to below ground level so the area is ready for your next garden project, pavement, or tree planting.

Tree Care

Because mulch provides a plethora of benefits to both trees and their surrounding environment, Happy Trees recommends installing mulch (or wood chips) around the base of existing trees and landscaping.

Acting as a protective barrier, mulch helps regulate soil temperature, retain moisture, and suppress weed growth. As it decomposes, mulch enriches the soil with essential nutrients, promoting microbial activity and enhancing soil structure. Additionally, mulch acts as a buffer, reducing soil compaction and erosion, fostering optimal conditions for root development.

Coupled with effective tree disease treatment, which targets and mitigates potential infections or infestations, mulch contributes to the creation of a resilient and thriving ecosystem around the tree, ensuring its long-term vitality.
